“To Kill a Mockingbird”
With special appearance by Mary Badham
Gregory Peck stars in the film version of Harper Lee’s beloved novel, a poignant tale of a small-town lawyer determined to give his children an upbringing free of hatred and racial prejudice in 1930s Alabama. That resolve is tested when Atticus Finch is asked to represent Tom Robinson, a Black man accused of raping a White woman. The film was nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Supporting Actress for Mary Badham as “Scout,” the youngest-ever nominee at the time. The American Film Institute chose Peck’s Atticus as the greatest movie hero of the 20th century.
To Kill a Mockingbird will screen at the Marshall County Community Theatre for one night only.
Ms. Badham will be on-stage to discuss the movie and answer questions from the audience.
